Amanda is part of the PCAPS International Coordination Office (ICO) team, primarily focusing on science communication and engaging younger audiences.

Amanda holds a Bachelor's in geophysics from the University of Oslo (UiO), and is currently taking a Master's in water and climate, focusing on meteorology. During her bachelor's studies, she went to the University Centre in Svalbard (UNiS), to take courses in polar meteorology and oceanography.

Her research experience includes validating numerical weather prediction models in the Arctic, which she conducted at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute's Development Centre for Weather Forecasting during Summer 2024. She aims to expand her research on Arctic meteorology, focusing in particular on cloud dynamics in the Arctic as part of her master's studies.
