Paola is a member of the PCAPS Steering Group, building on the experience she has on basic research, coordination of scientific campaigns and operations in Antarctica, and also as a member of the advisory group of the WMO’s Global Cryosphere Watch.

Paola holds a MSc. and Ph.D in Physics from the University of Buenos Aires. She holds a teaching position at the University of Buenos Aires and at the University of San Andres (Argentina). She is now the head of the recently formed Group of Antarctic Research at SMN.

Paola's research focuses on turbulent transport and diffusivity in atmospheric scenarios, with emphasis on vertical exchange of momentum, energy and passive tracers in the UTLS of the Antarctic region.
