Data access
In the PCAPS project we practice a free and open data policy, which means that anyone may use our material freely and for benefit of society. Relevant data includes results from experiments and observational data.
The data from the PCAPS project are archived as NetCDF files, and are available through thredds.met.no and currently, the data are organised as follows:
YOPP_supersite/ - Model output from YOPP supersites from a range of Numerical Weather Prediction centers.
buoy/ - Data collected from the YOPP IGP Buoy campaign.
IGP_IGB/ - Model data for the IGP project. Domain covers the IMO/DMI IGB domain, including Iceland, Greenland and Svalbard.
EPS/ - Ensemble model experiments.
users/ - Various user experiments.
Results from the PCAPS project are implemented in the operational AROME-Arctic model system. The model output is used as forecasts on e.g. yr.no. The model output data are located here
The data are also available through YOPP and SIOS.
