From our first annual Steering Group meeting in Hobart in March, to the successful submission of our PCAPS project plan to WMO in September, 2024 has showcased the strength of collaboration, innovation and shared vision within the PCAPS community, paving the way for the ambitious work ahead.
We are very happy to also report that the PCAPS community has grown within this short time. There are now several innovative WMO-PCAPS endorsed projects as well as important partnerships and collaborations underway.
The PCAPS team has presented about PCAPS’ work at several international conferences and workshops this year, including SCAR-OSC and COP29, and many more are slated already for 2025.

Exciting initiatives are already planned for 2025, such as our upcoming webinars and our annual meeting in Cambridge in April.
One of our goals for 2025 is to ensure that the benefits of our work reaches a wide and diverse audience. Stay tuned via our PCAPS blog and website to learn more about ways to stay and get involved in PCAPS in the years to come.
We look forward to our work in 2025 and our continued efforts to enhance and improve the actionability, impact and fidelity of environmental forecasting in the polar regions.
